Kunal Sarkar
Co-Founder and Chief Executive OfficerKunal is the CEO and co-founder of Lumosity.com. Prior to founding Lumosity, Kunal co-founded the private equity fund AIMLP, which manages over $400MM in capital. The fund focuses on investments in infrastructure and natural resources. Prior to founding AIMLP, Kunal was Vice President at McCown De Leeuw and Co., a $1.2 billion private equity fund making growth equity investments. Kunal started his career in the Strategic Planning and Development group at the Walt Disney Company, where he was involved in the development of Disney’s acquisition strategy and over $5 billion of M&A transactions. Kunal graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a B.A. in Economics, and a certificate in Finance.

Michael Scanlon
Co-Founder and Chief Scientific OfficerMichael is co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Lumos Labs. He is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of cognitive training and neuroplasticity. He created the Lumos Neuroscience Research Platform, which enables large-scale study of cognitive training in humans. He currently oversees research collaborations with labs in over a two dozen academic institutions including Stanford, UCSF, Carnegie Mellon, UCSD, Columbia and Harvard.
As a neuroscience grad student at Stanford University, he published research in a variety of neuroscience fields, which included the neural correlates of human cognitive processes such as memory and attention, neurogenesis due to exercise and learning in rats, and cellular plasticity in fish. Michael graduated from Princeton University with a B.A in Psychology.

David Drescher
Co-Founder and Chief Technology OfficerDavid is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Lumos Labs. He oversees all product and technology operations of Lumosity.com, the leading online destination for cognitive training and learning games. David was the inventor of Lumosity’s cognitive training platform and its adaptive training algorithms. He is also the game designer behind many of the most addictive games on Lumosity.com.
He is a past recipient of the National Science Foundation’s VIGRE fellowship, for his computer-based research in the field of Algebraic Geometry. David received a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Columbia University.
